...a girl by the name of Mae Lyman, and do you remember her? She is very hard of hearing, and her father lived down just below Seth Eastwoods and he died, and now she has the farm of 14 acres. She came here Saturday and stayed all night. Now if you want a farm and a good spring on it that never goes dry and will take her too, you will not have to pay only five to the minister and have a farm as good as Walter’s and nearer town. (I did not know but this bargain would bring you home.) If you think of accepting it write and let me know. Walter moved up to the Fishery Saturday. Bertha and Dan are goin up to have leeks in a few days. Lee, Marvin, and Mr. Will Black went yesterday and got a big mess. They are goin to have some for supper tonight. Nancy Dolley told me yesterday to thank you for her for the picture you sent her, and that she would write as soon as she could to you. She thinks she could see too if she had her glasses changed and is goin to Buffalo soon to get them. I do hope she can see for it would do her so much good. The snow is all gone now...
